Our ECC team is led by RECOVER Certified ALS (Advanced Life Support) Rescuers and adopt the most up-to-date emergency response standard recongised by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS).
Having shared access to ultrasound, CT and MRI, our ECC team are equipped to rapidly diagnose and manage a spectrum of critical conditions.
Emergency conditions commonly managed by our team
Working closely with our Diagnostic Medicine team, our ECC service have rapid access to full body survey CT and Point-Of-Care Ultrasound, an up-to-date standard of care for critical conditions such as pleural space disease and abdominal emergencies such as internal bleeding.
Once stabilised, our patients can be referred internally to our surgical departments for emergency surgery such as fracture repair if required or hospitalised.
Our twenty four hour dedicated nursing team has a great deal of experience in nursing complex critical care where intensive monitoring and rapid medical response are very important in the early stages of the diseases.
