Jacqueline qualified in 1985, receiving the Royal(Dick) Gold medal as the best student in her year and the First Fitzwygram prize for the most successful student to qualify that year in the UK, awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
She has decades of experience in the assessment of neurology patients and the investigation and treatment of neurological disease. She has been reporting Magnetic Resonance Images since 2006 and has been treating patients based on this investigation during that period.
She also has an interest in neurosurgery, operating regularly and with consistent success on patients with spinal cord compression. Despite her special clinical interest in neurosurgery, she still finds all soft tissue surgery fun!
RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
While still an undergraduate studying at the University of Glasgow, Cameron already knew that his main clinical interest was surgery. He has been dedicated to expanding his experience of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery ever since.
He has acquired wide experience of performing successful soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and recently gained the necessary approval to perform Total Hip Replacement.
Cameron also enjoys laparoscopic procedures and endoscopy which he performs with considerable success.
In additional to being a dedicated surgeon, Cameron has a special interest in the assessment of paraplegia and paretic spinal cases, producing and reporting spinal MRI before proceeding to theatre to perform decompressive surgery in patients where this is indicated.

Brian has held a long term interest in all modalities of Diagnostic Imaging. While studying at Cambridge University, he participated in research into the applications of Computed Tomography to small animal orthopaedics with particular emphasis on its potential for accurately planning surgical osteotomies.
While head of a Computed Tomography unit, he expanded his capabilities to include reporting of all imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasonography and Radiography). In addition to CT, he enjoys all forms of ultrasonography in particular the investigation of cardiac disease and has a clinical interest in all forms of endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery.
Brian takes charge of Internal Medicine and Cardiology cases which are in our hospital. This includes responsibility for the conduct of all hospitalised cases and communication with their owners.
RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Ophthalmology
Qualified since 2012, Clara worked across the globe and has a deep passion not only for small animal ophthalmology but also zoo animal and wildlife medicine.
Trained together with human opthalmologists at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Clara spearheads our cataract phacoemulsification service and was appointed our clinical lead in veterinary opthalmology in 2023.
Outside of companion animals, Clara is also a keen volunteer for exotic and wildlife animals in Bolivia. She has worked with Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi and Friends of Inti Wara Yassi UK since 2018, providing veterinary care to those in need in the jungle.
Qualified in Spain, Carolina is a cheerful and passionate member of our referral team.
She holds a postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmolgy and has successfully performed complex corneal microsurgical repair.
In addition to surgical ophthalmology, Carolina is also enthusiastic about soft tissue surgery and works closely with our surgical referral team.
Carolyn is a vastly experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse.
She has decades of experience in the care of pets in hospital, both in recovery after surgery and for medical management of disease. Prior to taking on her current role, she was responsible for defining and maintaining nursing standards at a large, multi-site team.
Carolyn is responsible, with other senior nursing team members, for the maintenance of our standards of veterinary nursing and of patient care. She regularly reviews and advises our more junior team members to ensure that our excellent nursing standards are consistently maintained.
Carolyn is also a qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse, although in her role at Lincolnshire Veterinary Referrals she no longer is called on to nurse equine patients.
In addition to his Registered Veterinary Nursing qualification, Jordan is responsible for the smooth running of the financial side of Lincolnshire Veterinary Referrals. Ably assisted by Adam Hunt RVN, who acts as his deputy, Jordan liaises with insurance companies as well as with referring practices and pet owners to ensure that each pet’s financial journey throughout their treatment goes as smoothly as we can possibly manage.
Jordan is also a Clinical Coach who helps our nursing students to achieve their Registered Veterinary Nursing qualification. In the few working moments, he turns his hand to repairing and maintaining all the annoying things which break down and upset the day.
Harriet takes responsibility for the maintenance of standards in our in-house laboratory. It is thanks to her that an excellent standard of accuracy is maintained.
Lucy is responsible for maintaining our excellent standards of communication through social media with current and potential clients.
Heather holds a Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care, and in Surgical Nursing. and is our lead veterinary nurse in endoscopy and endosurgery.
Sarah is our lead consulting nurse. She has an excellent rapport with both pets and their owners at what can be a very stressful time in both a pet and their human’s lives.

Having completed her training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Nikki went on to become a qualified Hydrotherapist. She now combines her nursing role with running our Hydrotherapy unit.
Nikki plays an integral role in maintaining our student nurse training programme and has acted as a Clinical Coach to several generations of students now themselves also RVNs.
