RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging
Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Practice Sciences (Diagnostic Imaging)
Jacqueline qualified in 1985, receiving the Royal(Dick) Gold medal as the best student in her year and the First Fitzwygram prize for the most successful student to qualify that year in the UK, awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
She has decades of experience in the assessment of neurology patients and the investigation and treatment of neurological disease. She has been reporting Magnetic Resonance Images since 2006 and has been treating patients based on this investigation during that period.
She also has an interest in neurosurgery, operating regularly and with consistent success on patients with spinal cord compression. Despite her special clinical interest in neurosurgery, she still finds all soft tissue surgery fun!
RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
While still an undergraduate studying at the University of Glasgow, Cameron already knew that his main clinical interest was surgery. He has been dedicated to expanding his experience of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery ever since.
He has acquired wide experience of performing successful soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and recently gained the necessary approval to perform Total Hip Replacement.
Cameron also enjoys laparoscopic procedures and endoscopy which he performs with considerable success.
In additional to being a dedicated surgeon, Cameron has a special interest in the assessment of paraplegia and paretic spinal cases, producing and reporting spinal MRI before proceeding to theatre to perform decompressive surgery in patients where this is indicated.
RECOVER Certified ALS Rescuer
Brian has held a long term interest in all modalities of Diagnostic Imaging. While studying at Cambridge University, he participated in research into the applications of Computed Tomography to small animal orthopaedics with particular emphasis on its potential for accurately planning surgical osteotomies.
While head of a Computed Tomography unit, he expanded his capabilities to include reporting of all imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasonography and Radiography). In addition to CT, he enjoys all forms of ultrasonography in particular the investigation of cardiac disease and has a clinical interest in all forms of endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery.
Brian takes charge of Internal Medicine and Cardiology cases which are in our hospital. This includes responsibility for the conduct of all hospitalised cases and communication with their owners.
